Pricing

Translation work is charged by the word or by the target text page (1 page = 1,560 characters without spaces). Editing, proofing and reviewing translations are charged by the hour. My rates include an editing round carried out by another linguist, and one review round, if needed. Additional reviews or changes made to the source text after the translation work has begun will be charged separately by the hour.

The exact price depends on the level of complexity and the timetable of the project, as well as possible other conditions. These are always discussed and agreed upon with the client in advance.

A minimum fee or a rush charge (+50% at a minimum) may apply.

For work completed for clients based in Finland, a VAT of 24% is added to the price.

With foreign clients, I accept payment via a wire transfer to my Finnish bank account or via Paypal. Unfortunately foreign checks cannot be accepted.

Memberships

I am a member of the Finnish Association of Translators and Interpreters (SKTL) and adhere to the general translation terms and conditions set by the association.
